Honestly, I have no idea where time goes. I went to Ireland at the end of September/early October to photograph a wedding. Since my return, everything–and I mean EVERYTHING–has been a fantastic blur. I had the Portland wedding season to wrap up, senior portrait season was well under way and then started the holidays. Wow!

During the last few weeks, I had an opportunity to work with Jay on his contemporary senior portraits. Jay is a relatively recent Portland transplant, but you would never guess it! From his clothes to his great personality, I would have thought this young many was a Portland native. Regardless of where he started, I am glad he and his family chose Portland as home. I enjoyed my time working with Jay and his mom, Karen.

Jay’s session was really great. The autumn weather was extremely cooperative (albeit, a tad fresh), and we were just starting to get some of that fall color pop Oregon is known for. Jay’s neutral clothing was perfect!

Here is a look at a few of the great shots from Jay’s session. I had so many to choose from, but these are some of the superstars in my book. Whether serious or smiling, Jay’s warmth and genuineness really come through in his eyes. I know this young man will go far in life–and he has some great colleges on his short list for next year! Wow!
