Portrait of Portland | Advertising Photography

Okay, I admit it. One of the fun things about shooting commercial advertising photography is getting to see your images in action. Sure, my portrait and wedding work is enjoyed by clients. However, I personally never get to see their favorite portraits images hanging on their living room wall.

With advertising photography, it’s different. I simply need to log onto a website or pick up a magazine to see how my clients use the photos. I love it! Tonight, I was at my local grocery store and saw the latest issue of Portrait of Portland in the newsstand. Like everyone does in the checkout line, I decided to flip through the pages. Boom! There it was, a full page ad for my client Carey Custom Floors and Remodeling. Even better, the center of the ad was a photo I shot for them earlier this year. Woo hoo!

Okay, I have to admit, I did know my client would be running an ad. I just didn’t know what photo they would use and what issue it would be in. 😉

Here is a look at the ad. It features an AMAZING kitchen remodel by the client. It was such a beautiful home to photograph and I felt honored to go out on the assignment. Architectural photography is something I love because it is so different from working with people. It requires a different train of thought, so from time to time I love to push the boundaries of the noggin. 🙂
