James & Suzanne | Country Wedding

Wedding season this year was filled with a lot of great celebrations and love stories. Each one was so unique and had it’s own vibe.

James and Suzanne chose to have a country wedding to celebrate their union. The location was out in Estacada, Oregon, and I can honestly say I it was one of the prettiest views all summer. As they stood and exchanged vows under their wedding arbor, they were surrounded by the mountain foothills and forest. Incredible. Wilderness as far as the eye could see and it made for some gorgeous country wedding photography!

One of the unique aspects of the wedding that I particularly enjoyed was the planting of a tree to commemorate their union. I had not seen this before and I thought it was a beautiful way to remember this special moment in time. The couple (and James’ daughter) came together as a family to give the tree a new start.

I also loved that the couple incorporated small things to remember family that had passed. James carried his father’s well-worn bible throughout the day to remember his father. And there were small touches that paid tribute to loved ones.

The post-ceremony celebration was also a lot of fun. And the father-daughter dance James shared with his daughter was priceless.

Here are a few photos from their lovely country wedding. It was a day to remember…
