Sarah | Class of 2015

September is always a busy time of year for me. It is really an “overlap” month between wedding season and senior portrait season. If you haven’t figured me out yet, I love celebrating milestones. So in the course of one month, I get to enjoy two of my favorites–both of which mark the start of a new chapter.

One of the things that I LOVE about modern senior portraits is how they have evolved from “cookie cutter” to individualistic. Long gone are the drapes, pearls and bouffants. Now senior portraits reflect the teen and who he or she is at that moment in time. There is nothing stuffy about modern senior portraits. They are fun, personal and a celebration of life.

Last week Sarah and her grandmother Linda stopped by my studio for a senior portrait session. In talking with them, I learned that Sarah really wanted her photos to reflect her outgoing, fun personality. She is a competitive cheerleader and has loved the sport since a young age.

What struck me immediately about Sarah is that she is so comfortable with her own skin. She likes who she is, and her personality shows it. She was bubbly, sweet and a lot of fun to have in front of the camera. Oh, and not to mention how cute she is! Is she not an absolute doll?!

I am excited to see where Sarah goes in life. Based on the brief time I spent with her, I can tell you she’ll excel wherever her path leads her. She is a natural people person and her zest for life really shows.
